SUPERCHRIST Debuts New Lineup, Schedules Album Release

May 15, 2007

American metal derelicts SUPERCHRIST have unveiled their new lineup, featuring guitarist Eddie Winter and drummer Ian Viper alongside longtime bassist/vocalist Chris Black. The trio made its debut on May 4, 2007, in Cleveland.

"Having now gone through a couple of gigs together, I can now say that this is the heaviest and tightest that the band has ever been," boasted Chris Black. "Eddie is a fantastic player and a bit of a showman as well, and I've yet to hear Ian make a mistake behind the drums. These guys are the only game in town, and believe me, I even checked the zoo and the insane asylum. We'll see all of our friends in Nashville, Boston, and Chicago this summer, and bang heads with some new comrades whenever you're ready!"

SUPERCHRIST recently confirmed its deal with Rock Saviour Records for the band's first-ever European release, the brand new "Headbanger" album. "Costa [Stoios, the man behind Rock Saviour] has been a big supporter of the band for a while," explained Chris Black. "We're honored to have gotten onto his radar, in the midst of SABBAT, ANGEL WITCH, AGATUS, INQUISITION, and all of the other great bands he has championed during the years. European fans — get ready!"

SUPERCHRIST will release its own U.S. version of "Headbanger" on June 12. The album was recorded at MCR Studios (TWISTED TOWER DIRE, PHARAOH) and features artwork by JP Fournier (IMMORTAL, EDGUY, IMPALED NAZARENE). Fans can listen to the song "No Color" on the SUPERCHRISTMySpace page.
